The Jamaican government provides a subvention for each child placed in the Home, however assistance is received each year from a number of donors. Some of these donations have been granted by
Global Ministries DOC/UCC, and churches outside of Jamaica. Each year, a group of churches from metro Atlanta undertakes a project at the Home. These congregations include: First Presbyterian of Atlanta, Georgia and Hillside Presbyterian Church of Decatur, Georgia. Our own Elmslie United Church, Cayman Islands, has also played a significant role in funding the needs of the Home.
Concurrently, measures are being put in place to assist the Home to fund itself to a greater degree. Sitting on ten (10) acres of land, there is plenty of room for the Home to embark on projects to generate funds needed for its operations, and Mr. Patrick Newman, Director, and his team have embarked on this in a highly noteworthy manner.
